Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of mysite-name's shoe and leather repair services in England. Please read them carefully before submitting items for repair to ensure a clear understanding of our services, responsibilities, and the repair process.

1. Service Agreement

By using mysite-name for shoe and leather repair services—whether through our workshop, website, or telephone—you agree to these terms. Our services comply with relevant UK regulations including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We specialize in professional repair and restoration of footwear and leather goods for customers across England.

2. Service Scope and Limitations

Our repair services include assessment, cleaning, repair, and restoration of shoes and leather items. We work with various materials including leather, suede, synthetic materials, and different types of soles and heels.

We reserve the right to decline items that are hazardous, contaminated, or where repair is not technically feasible or economically viable. We may also decline items that violate UK law or contain prohibited materials.

3. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure successful repair services, customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about repair requirements and item history
  • Disclose any pre-existing damage or previous repair attempts
  • Collect repaired items within agreed timeframes
  • Make timely decisions regarding repair options and costs
  • Adhere to agreed payment terms upon service completion

Your cooperation helps us deliver the best possible repair results for your items.

4. Assessment and Quotations

We provide free assessments and detailed quotations for all repair work. Quotes are valid for 14 days and include breakdown of costs for materials and labour. Work commences only after written or verbal approval of the quotation.

Additional charges may apply if hidden damage is discovered during repair. In such cases, we will contact you for approval before proceeding with additional work.

5. Repair Process and Quality Standards

We maintain professional standards in our repair work, using quality materials and techniques appropriate for each item. Standard repairs are completed within 3-7 working days, though complex restoration may require additional time.

While we strive for perfection, some items may show signs of previous wear that cannot be completely eliminated through repair. We discuss realistic outcomes during the assessment stage.

6. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon collection of repaired items. We accept cash, major credit cards, and contactless payments. Deposits may be required for high-value items or complex restoration projects.

Prices are quoted in British pounds and include standard repair work. Material upgrades or additional services will be quoted separately and require customer approval.

7. Warranty and Service Guarantee

We provide warranties on our repair work as detailed on your repair ticket. These typically cover workmanship and materials for specified periods, usually 3-6 months depending on repair type.

Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, improper care, accidental damage, or normal wear and tear. Warranty claims must be accompanied by the original repair ticket.

8. Item Storage and Collection

We store completed items for up to 30 days after notifying customers of repair completion. After this period, uncollected items may be subject to storage fees or may be disposed of if reasonable efforts to contact the customer have failed.

Customers must present their repair ticket or valid identification when collecting items. We recommend collecting items promptly to ensure optimal condition.

9. Liability and Item Value

While we take utmost care with all items, our liability for loss or damage is limited to the repair cost or the item's current market value, whichever is lower. We recommend that valuable items are adequately insured by their owners.

We cannot be responsible for inherent weaknesses in materials or pre-existing damage that may become apparent during or after repair.

10. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel repair services before work commences without charge. If work has already begun, you may be charged for materials used and work completed up to the cancellation point.

If you are dissatisfied with repair work, please discuss this with us immediately. We aim to resolve all concerns fairly and may offer rework, partial refund, or other appropriate solutions.

11. Health and Safety

We follow health and safety protocols in our workshop and when handling customer items. Customers must inform us of any potential hazards such as sharp objects, biological contaminants, or other dangers in items submitted for repair.

We reserve the right to refuse items that pose health and safety risks to our staff or other customers.

12. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute, we encourage direct communication to resolve issues amicably. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled under the laws of England and Wales through the appropriate courts.

We are committed to resolving concerns fairly and efficiently. Please contact us first at [email protected] with any service-related issues before pursuing formal dispute resolution.

13. Terms Modification

We reserve the right to update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, UK regulations, or industry practices. The current terms are always available on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
